It was near the end of time or at least the end of human time. Everything had been done and everybody loved each other bar none. Every husband had slept with every wife, and every wife with every husband; every husband with every husband, every wife with every wife. The last human community on Earth lived gently on the most beautiful beach ever known. The whole of Earth had been mined, and the whole of Earth’s culture and song. But there was a visionary who was restless, and thought there may be more to find. He found a song, a very old song that had not been explored. In the song, there was an ancient ruin. He said to the community, ‘Maybe this ruin exists. Maybe I can find this ruin.’ He chose a companion for his adventure, and determined to begin. The people were anxious. Before he left the beach, the visionary gave everyone a small bag of the most heavenly drug ever invented.
As he left the beach, the rocks of the great cliffs started to grumble and moan. The cliffs started to crumble and great boulders began to fly through the air, crashing all around the panicked people, who tried to flee the beach. One man and one woman managed to escape to the foot of a mountain. The woman held a small child to her chest. They began to climb the mountain, but the mountain was falling down; the whole of Earth meant to break apart. The man screamed ‘What shall we do?’
The woman replied calmly, ‘Just witness.’
